Mrs. Chilton’s 8th grade science class has been exploring the human body systems, with a recent focus on the digestive system. As part of their learning, students took part in an interactive activity called the “Journey from Food to Poop.” They simulated each stage of digestion—chewing bananas and crackers, adding vinegar to represent stomach acid, absorbing nutrients, and finally, expelling waste.
