The second rescue for today was more positive than the first two We went to the 3rd sighting and just as the sun set the wombat was found. He was lying in the tall grass resting but we managed to get a good dose on him What made my heart sing is how this community (in Jerrabomberra) came together and all care so much and just want him to heal He gave a few growls just to let us know he’s not impressed and he is sporting the usual blue mark on his back but Im confident we got him in time Thank yo

We spent the day up at Sue's, our wild wombat sanctuary, getting prepared for a large hay delivery. We were home a little later than usual and Pinger was so excited to see us! We raised Pinger from a tiny orphan 6 years ago. She lives out in the sanctuary but still spends most of her waking hours with us. She is one of the first wombats to come in every night.
