Meet Teresa Travis. Teresa was admitted to Encompass Health Shreveport after hip replacement due to advanced arthritis in her left hip. She had previously come to Encompass Health for rehabilitation after her right hip surgery and had such a positive experience that she knew she wanted to return. When Teresa arrived, she was in pain and had stiffness in her hip. She needed help with getting in and out of bed, moving around and walking. But she was determined to walk out — and she did just that.
