GROUNDBREAKING: Today, Seminole County broke ground on a $27 million Sports Complex, located on East Lake Mary Boulevard in Sanford. Set to open in the Spring of 2016, the Sports Complex will boast 15 athletic fields as well as state-of-the-art amenities for both players and spectators, and is anticipated to be one of the top youth and amateur tournament destinations in the state of Florida. The $27 million project will be entirely funded through a 5% Tourism Hotel Occupancy Tax, paid by visitor
