TIME MANAGEMENT WITH BLOCKS “TIME” is one of those abstract concepts that can be difficult for kids to understand. Why does it move so slowly? How can that really be 30 minutes? Do I have to wait that long? Is it almost time? We can help bring an abstract concept like “time” into concrete thinking with something like blocks. Use the same size blocks to allocate a certain block of time. I find 5 or 10 minute blocks work well. Represent the overall time of a task, a session, a section of the day.
