*Sound on*. Bees! Everyone gets bees!!! Most Fender amps have a shielding tape or plate under the top of the amplifier cabinet, facing the amp’s internal components. This shielding helps alleviate noise and other interference, but only if the shielding itself is grounded to the amp.
