The new Residential Zoned Land Tax (RZLT) came into effect on 1 February. The RZLT aims to increase housing supply in our community. Clare County Council has published the final map for 2025 identifying lands zoned for residential or mixed use liable for the RZLT this year. Landowners with land on the 2025 map can make a rezoning request. Evidence of this request allows you to seek a one year exemption from the tax.
