Good fuel supply - clean diesel, good filters, good fuel pump. Make sure the diesel you are filling up with is of good quality, have your filters in a place you can see them and easily change if they get clogged. Have a way you can check your fuel pump is engaging - mine ‘clicks’ when I connect 12v
